The role would suit someone looking for an additional role/hours or part time work.

You will have relevant academic qualifications and a minimum of a full postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject area, along with experience of applying skills, methods and techniques in a learning and teaching environment. You will be IT literate, and student focussed with good communication and interpersonal skills. Learning Management Systems (LMS) experience would be desirable, but not essential.

Distance Learning Tutors will be home based, hours will be flexible determined by allocated module cohort numbers and credit weighting of the module. The hourly rate for delivery is £48.07 (including marking). For example, for a 30 credit module based on a cohort of 15 to 18 students, this would be a total of 72 hours. For a 15 credit module based on a cohort of 15 to 18 students, this would be a total of 48 hours. Contracted hours are determined in advance of the Trimester and are dependent on student cohort numbers and availability of work. Please note that hours are not guaranteed for a full academic year.

We are looking to recruit a Distance Learning Tutor to start in September 2024.

Shortlisting will occur during the week commencing 13th of May. Interview dates are likely to be held during the week commencing 20th of May.
