    The Opportunity

    This is an opportunity to join the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) Portfolio, where you will help advance the global engagement work of Monash University, with particular reference to South Asia.

    Reporting to the Vice President (International Engagement), as the Director, South Asia, you will lead the development and implementation of Monash's strategy, strategic initiatives, key relationships and partnerships in and with South Asian countries. This will include working with governments, community institutions and industry. You will also work closely with the leadership of the IITB-Monash Research Academy in Mumbai. This will entail assisting in the development of the IITB-Monash Research Academy's strategic plans and advising Monash leaders on operations.

    You will require experience in country engagement, strategy design, and business development. The successful candidate will have knowledge of international education issues, particularly with regard to South Asia. In addition, the successful candidate will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You will be expected to develop effective relationships with University, government and business sectors and form strong connections with representatives in the international arena.
