  • About the Role The Director of Risk, Integrity & Compliance reports to the Chief Operating Officer and leads a team including enterprise risk management, compliance, conduct and integrity. They work with senior leaders and external stakeholders to ensure the University has a robust compliance framework, policies and procedures critical to the management of compliance and risk.

    The incumbent will be involved in overseeing and supporting the monitoring of external trends in risk management, compliance, and governance to drive continuous improvement and innovation. It is crucial for fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and ethical behaviour within the university while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

    This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the university's strategic priorities and operational needs, with specific duties and qualifications tailored accordingly.

    About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Significant experience in risk management, governance, compliance, integrity, freedom of information and related fields, preferably in the higher education sector or a large complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, compliance, integrity and governance principles, regulatory requirements, and best practices applicable to universities in Australia.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian higher education sector, including its governance structures, funding models, and policy landscape.
  • Proven high-level strategic, analytical and conceptual skills and demonstrated ability to interpret regulatory and policy requirements, and to respond with high level advice.
  • Proven leadership experience, including the ability to lead and motivate a team, manage competing priorities, and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Qualifications Degree or Post Graduate qualification in business administration, governance, law or another related discipline.
