Director of Practice Based Learning (0.8FTE)
We are seeking to recruit a new Director of Practice-Based Learning for the Bath MPharm degree who will be a significant member of the MPharm senior management team.
This post will provide strategic leadership for the practice-based learning and inter-professional learning elements of the MPharm degree and work with the Heads of Pharmacy in Bath and Plymouth to continue to innovate the MPharm degree to produce high quality future pharmacists.
You will be passionate about the development of the future pharmacy workforce, a skilled and effective teacher with experience in delivering practice based learning.
Additionally, you will lead on relationships with key stakeholders including placement providers and senior managers across all areas of practice. The University of Bath Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree is highly regarded and has an ambitious practice-based learning programme.
The Bath MPharm degree is available from the University of Bath campus and from 2024 will also be delivered in collaboration with the University of Plymouth at its city centre campus.
This is a fantastic opportunity to come and work at Bath at an exciting time for the development of pharmacy undergraduate education in the South West and also during a period of significant change in the profession.
This is one of two posts currently advertised to further support the successful delivery of practice based learning and inter-professional learning in the Bath MPharm.
This is a part-time role, 0.8 FTE.

The Department of Life Sciences at the University of Bath was established in August 2022 through merger of the Departments of Biology & Biochemistry and Pharmacy & Pharmacology.
It is home to over 100 academic staff with expertise in a variety of disciplines including bioinformatics, cell & developmental biology, evolution, genetics, immunology, medicinal chemistry, microbiology, pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmacy and structural biology.
