Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose The Director of Assessment and Accreditation is responsible for the coordination, administration, and management of assessment, accreditation, reporting, and continuous quality improvement activities for the School of Pharmacy. This position maintains a comprehensive assessment plan that supports the PharmD program, promotes data-informed decision-making, and supports ongoing compliance with ACPE and institutional accreditation requirements.

The Director serves as the School’s primary resource for assessment planning, outcomes data, accreditation documentation, survey administration, program evaluation, and assessment reporting. The position works independently and collaboratively with faculty, committees, academic leadership, and institutional partners to support student learning, curricular effectiveness, program quality, and accreditation readiness.

The Director of Assessment and Accreditation reports to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (ADAA), School of Pharmacy.

Essential Functions
  • Serve as the primary administrator for assessment technologies, including Canvas, ExamSoft, Enflux, ExamMaster, Watermark, and related systems; manage user access, system integrations, tagging compliance, quality assurance, faculty support, and training.
  • Coordinate and manage data collection, validation, and reporting for programmatic assessment activities, including course-level and program-level outcomes, in accordance with the Programmatic Assessment Plan.
  • Administer course evaluations, Prior Knowledge Assessments (PKA), internal and external surveys, and other assessment activities; compile results, identify trends, and communicate findings to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Prepare, analyze, and disseminate regular and ad hoc reports, including ExamSoft longitudinal reports, course evaluation reports, survey results, student outcomes data, NAPLEX and CPJE performance data, and other key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate ACPE annual monitoring, interim reporting, self-study preparation, and accreditation readiness activities by compiling, organizing, maintaining, and tracking required data and documentation.
  • Support institutional accreditation and regulatory reporting, including WASC-related assessment data requests, by providing accurate programmatic assessment data, reports, and documentation.
  • Maintain and update the Programmatic Assessment Plan, curriculum maps, assessment matrices, COEPA documentation, Appendix 1 documentation, and related accreditation records in collaboration with relevant committees and ADAA.
  • Manage longitudinal student outcomes data and monitor trends related to student achievement, curricular effectiveness, program quality, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Generate reports, summaries, and recommendations to support program evaluation, CQI discussions, and data-informed decision-making by faculty, committees, and leadership.
  • Coordinate and support assessment-related meetings, training activities, faculty consultations, and communications with stakeholders.
  • Ensure assessment data integrity, consistency, accessibility, and compliance with institutional policies and accreditation standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in education, data analytics, institutional research, assessment, higher education administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in data analysis, programmatic assessment, accreditation, or academic program evaluation, preferably in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting and work independently with minimal direction.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written communication, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in a college or school of pharmacy, health professions program, professional degree program, or accredited academic program.
  • Working knowledge of ACPE standards or other specialized/professional accreditation standards.
  • Experience supporting accreditation self-study reports, annual monitoring reports, interim reports, site visit documentation, or related accreditation submissions.
  • Familiarity with LMS, assessment systems such as Canvas, ExamSoft, Enflux, ExamMaster, Watermark, Qualtrics, Tableau, Power BI, SPSS, R, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with faculty committees, academic leadership, and institutional offices to support assessment, accreditation, reporting, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Hiring Range $78,000- $86,000 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
