The Role:
As Digital Marketing Specialist, you will lead the overarching digital campaign delivery, owning channel splits, budget planning, measurement and reporting. You will approach campaigns with an audience first, always learning, mindset. Although working initially with our agencies, you will have the experience and skills required to manage channels in-house, proactively optimising and making identifying additional opportunities For more information about the University of Hull, please visit https: // www. hull.ac.uk/
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for planning, executing and optimizing the digital media budget to hit student recruitment KPIs
2. Lead overarching digital campaign delivery – be the owner of performance KPIs and optimization
3. A hands-on approach to working across all digital marketing channels including Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliates and Display
4. Working closely with our suppliers, including digital agencies and affiliate partners, agreeing media plans, raising POs, sharing insights and ensuring end activity matches back to brief.
5. Be actively in our digital accounts, ensuring performance is as required and proactively recommending optimisations
6. Phase and track budgets with initiative and accuracy
7. Measure campaign success and contributing results into wider Marketing reports. GA4 fluency is a must, alongside regular platform level reporting.
8. Support Performance Marketing Manager with required A/B testing across platforms/channels
9. Build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
10. Act as a champion for the Universities new identity and brand, ensuring final product embodies the brand verbally and visually.
11. Support University events as and when required, including open days. This will require occasional weekend working.
Preferred Requirements:
• Highly relevant digital campaign management and media buying experience
• Proven track record of campaign planning to drive results
• A keen knowledge of analytics tools, in particular GA4 a must. With regular experience of reporting on KPIs, optimization and sharing learnings.
• Experience with working in a hands-on agency or in-house environment would be an advantage
