Job description

Permanent, Part time - 30 hours per week expected to be between 9-16:00 Monday – Friday (Working on a rota basis)

Based on our Streatham Campus

Salary – This is a Grade C position with a starting salary of £25,007 per annum (pro rata).

Our Digital Hub is our staff and student facing help desk that provides critical support for staff and students using digital tools. The team are responsible for supporting staff and students in using a huge variety of digital tools and services such as: App and International Check-In support, OneDrive, SharePoint, Wi-Fi, course specific software and MS 365.

Being one of the core members of this front facing team, This busy and varied role would suit someone who has some experience in customer service and who would enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic, and challenging environment.

What you'll be doing…

  • Be the friendly face and first point of contact for students, staff, and guests, offering top-notch customer service and efficiently handling enquiries.
  • Maintaining accurate records and generating insightful reports.
  • Amplify our internal and external activities by sharing information effectively and following up with enthusiasm.
  • Elevate the student experience by suggesting and implementing exciting improvements.
  • Help organise engaging events, from internal meetings to external gatherings.
  • Champion best practices, ensuring our processes are followed and sharing insights with the team.
  • Keep our Digital Hub information up to date and accessible, making use of platforms like SharePoint.
  • Take charge of specific projects and tasks assigned by managers or senior team members.

  • We're really looking for…

  • Strong knowledge of using a range of digital tools and interfaces. Eg. Microsoft Office products including Office 365 and Microsoft Teams, SharePoint use and page development, Bookings and Forms and quickly able to learn how to use new systems and interfaces.
  • A good understanding of communications and engagement with a range of audiences both face to face and online

  • We want someone who is really positive and genuinely enjoys working together to solve problems!

  • Experience of demonstrating how to use digital tools or desire to develop in this area

  • Ability to provide basic visual representations of data.
  • Experience with University learning software would be beneficial.
