Digital Assessment Administrator

We are looking to appoint a friendly and well organised full-time administrator to join a small team working in the office of the School of the Biological Sciences in central Cambridge.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your technical and communication skills to support staff who deliver our teaching to around 2,500 students. The role's primary purpose is to be responsible for maintaining and running services provided by the School for the smooth administration of online examinations. This includes setting up the online examination system; training students and staff in use of software; coordinating information from the Student Registry, departments and the Faculty Office; dealing with technical queries during the examination periods; and ensuring the smooth delivery of scripts to Examiners. The role holder will also be involved in development of online examinations at the School of the Biological Sciences.

Our ideal candidate will be able to communicate clearly and effectively both in written work and orally with staff and students throughout the University and be able to work with colleagues in wide range of professional roles. Excellent customer service skills are required and previous experience in a customer focused office environment is desirable. You will be educated to at least HND standard, and will be highly competent in standard software packages, as well as being enthusiastic about learning how to use a range of non-standard software. You will need to be able to prioritise your own workload and be able to work effectively on your own as well as within a small group.

For full details of the post please see the Further Particulars.

Applications are welcome from internal candidates who would like to apply for the role on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University.
