We're currently looking for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our IT Department within our AV/IT team.

Our IT Services are integral to the continued success of Loughborough University.

We work closely with all our partners from across the University to support digital transformation and deliver outstanding levels of service that are recognised as the best in the country by our students in the National Student Survey.

We are at the forefront of supporting the digital campus, protecting and securing our IT systems and developing strategies to take us forward in a rapidly evolving world. Our Director is currently a trustee of UCISA and we actively support professional development at all levels.

Job Purpose:

To lead the technical support services related to DigiLabs and apply specialist technical knowledge to provide technical support, guidance and advice to users of AV/IT systems. The primary focus for this job will be to provide AV/IT services and support for University's DigiLabs environments including specialist technologies such as VR and AR, Robotics and advanced audio-visual systems.

To be successful in the role, you will have the following:

  • Significant experience of AV/IT support in a managed support environment
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills are essential with significant experience of installing, testing and commissioning of supplier specific equipment and software
  • Educated to degree level in any relevant subject or equivalent experience
  • Good oral communication skills and have analytical approach to problem solving Excellent knowledge of system software
