Hesston College is looking for someone who has a passion for cultivating new and existing relationships, a drive to meet set goals and an eagerness to represent Hesston College at local events and within their assigned territory. Is that you? Your goal as a Development Officer is to build relationships with alumni and friends to keep them engaged with the college and introduce them to opportunities for giving back to the college. Giving back may include financial donations, establishing a planned gift, hosting an alumni event in their home, serving as a class representative at Homecoming, promoting the college in their area and beyond.

Responsibilities include:

  • Invite financial support for the annual fund and capital campaign
  • Collaborate and coordinate efforts with larger development and advancement team
  • Coordinate Phonathon
  • Work toward alumni engagement
  • To be successful in this position, you will need to have strong relational skills, writing and public speaking skills, integrity, confidentiality, significant attention to detail, ability to work independently and business acumen. This position will average one week of out-of-state travel monthly as well as travel within Kansas.

If you share our values and our enthusiasm to educate and nurture each student within Christ-centered community, integrating thought, life and faith for service to others in the church and the world, you will find a home at Hesston College.

Our goal is to find someone with a bachelor's degree or higher (though an associate degree would be considered) with more than five years of professional experience. When you apply, be sure to include examples of your exceptional relational skills, successful fundraising experience, demonstrated success in meeting goals and any established connections to our network of alumni.

If this full-time, benefits-eligible position sounds of interest to you, send a cover letter, application and resume to [email protected]. Don't feel like you meet all the above requirements? Apply anyway. Our goal is to hire the most qualified candidates, and that could be you! Hesston College embraces continual learning of diversity, equity and inclusion on campus. EOE
