    Climateworks Centre is an expert, independent adviser, acting as a bridge between research and action to accelerate the transition to net zero emissions for Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.     The Opportunity

    We have an exciting parental leave replacement opportunity for a Development Manager to join our growing Climateworks team! Reporting into the Philanthropy Lead, you will work autonomously to develop and implement comprehensive major donor engagement plans for Climateworks Centre, whilst ensuring that they are aligned with University objectives.

    This role will take accountability for delivering strategic fundraising programs for Climateworks Centre with a specific focus on International engagement for Major gifts.

    We are looking for an individual who has previously demonstrated their ability to:

  • Identify and initiate relationships with major donors, and translate those relationships into major gifts
  • Think both strategically and tactically about the relationship between potential major philanthropic donors and fundraising goals
  • Interact effectively with people across various cultures; maintaining an appropriate awareness of international politics, cultural and religious tradition
  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy with a focus on cultivating and soliciting major gifts and in setting, achieving and reporting on fundraising targets
