  • Role Description

We are seeking an experienced, skilled individual to provide management of our central student support service. This is a exciting new role that will help influence and shape the range of wellbeing and learning support services available to our students.

    About the Role

Our expanding central Student Wellbeing and Disability Support service is responsible for delivering high-quality, student-focused support services across three sites that enable our students to achieve their full academic potential. We place students at the heart of what we do and ensure they have timely access to a range of professional support services including learning and disability support, counselling and mental health and wellbeing services.

    About You

You will have a strong understanding of the issues and context within which UK higher education operates and an excellent understanding of student support needs. Through your successful experience in managing and developing a central service that relates to student support services within Higher Education, you will be able to articulate a sector leading vision for this role.

You will be an outstanding people manager, with successful and demonstrable experience of leading and developing teams as well as adjusting service provision in response to data.

This position also requires you to have an excellent track record of working with staff to resolve complex situations, which requires the ability to analyse issues, assess risk and work constructively with academic and professional service colleagues to meet the needs of the student.
