Department RWJ-Medicine-Gastroenterology-Meb Salary Commensurate With Experience Posting Summary

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School seeks to employ an Associate Director of Endoscopy.

This position offers the opportunity for the potential faculty member to engage in research and join a team of gastroenterologists providing clinical services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) and at the academic practices of the medical school. As the Associate Director of Endoscopy, the selected candidate will lead and give oversight to the Endoscopy Unit. Under the Director, they will help develop, guide, manage, implement, monitor and enforce the clinical, administrative, educational and research activities of the unit to ensure efficient, timely and high-quality delivery of patient care services.

They will also be responsible for providing endoscopy and other gastroenterological services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, which may include: new gastroenterology consultations, follow-up visits with a focus on biliary, pancreatic, esophageal diseases, and care of conditions potentially requiring interventional endoscopy or advanced diagnostic endoscopy.

The Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is comprised of approximately 150 paid and more than 300 volunteer faculty members organized into 11 divisions covering the major medical subspecialties: Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Diseases; Cardiovascular Diseases and Hypertension; Education; Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition; Gastroenterology and Hepatology; General Internal Medicine; Hematology; Medical Oncology; Nephrology; Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine; and Rheumatology.

Immunization Requirements

Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
