Delivery Manager

Are you interested in an exciting and unique opportunity to help shape and deliver the UK's first National AI Research Service? We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Delivery Manager to work on Dawn, the most powerful supercomputer in the UK. Dawn is now being deployed for use by scientists across the UK in critical research fields such as clean energy, personalised medicine and climate science and we need your help to develop and manage this critical resource.

Who you'll be working with

The role is based in Research Computing Services a leading UK National Supercomputing Centre, providing facilities and services to world-renowned scientists, clinicians and engineers across the UK and Europe. You'll be part of a growing team of specialist AI, Software and Systems Engineers dedicated to Dawn, working with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple disciplines and institutions.

What you will do

You'll be responsible for the delivery and development of a diverse range of activities, from infrastructure tasks within the Data Centre and Service development to AI software projects and user engagement. You will have proven experience of managing projects through the full lifecycle using a range of agile delivery methods and will be comfortable adapting your approach to meet the needs of the project and team. You will be able to build relationships at all levels with experience of influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders to achieve goals.

What we are looking for

An interest in working with AI, High Performance Computing or Research Software is essential but experience in these fields is not crucial as long as you've got the right attitude and enthusiasm. More details about the role and the requirements is attached in the "Further Particulars" document.
