Financial Accounts Administrator Financial Accounting Location: Canterbury

Salary: £21,630 to £23,144 per annum Grade: Grade 4 Post Type: Full Time Contract Type: Permanent Release Date: Monday 22 January 2024 Closing Date: 23.59 hours GMT on Monday 12 February 2024 (unless otherwise stated) Reference: CSF-816-24

We currently have an opportunity in our Financial Accounting team for someone to undertake the role of Financial Accounts Administrator, on a full time permanent basis. The Finance Department offers a study support package for those studying their AAT, which includes a contribution toward the costs of studying and an allowance for study days.

In this role you will :

  • Support the production of the monthly financial management reports in order to ensure accurate financial information is produced in a timely manner.
  • Support other teams within the Finance Section in the production of financial information including the distribution of pay reports and recording of cash receipts.
  • Provide assistance in maintaining the system of financial controls across the University, ensuring that staff across the University are working within Financial Regulations and Policies and Procedures in place.

    • Your qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Good standard of education to GCSE level, including GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • Willingness to undertake accounting training leading to the Level 4 full AAT
  • A basic awareness of financial reporting
