  • A vacancy has arisen for a suitable candidate to support a busy Course and Student Administration Team within Student Services. The purpose of this position is to provide the highest quality professional support, contributing to the coordination of a student-focused customer support service and a responsive and adaptable approach to course and student administration, in partnership with academic colleagues and other key stakeholders. You will support the administration of the student life cycle from enrolment to award, administration of assessment processes and the servicing of committees. You will also contribute toward the maintenance of accurate records and documents on the SITS student record system, on Excel spreadsheets and on the VLE.

    The Person

    A highly experienced and motivated administrator, you will have excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills. The ability to work flexibly whilst maintaining a high standard of work with excellent attention to detail is essential. You will also be adept at working under pressure to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a good sense of humour. Confident and innovative, you will be educated to at least degree level or equivalent with a very good knowledge of IT including Microsoft Word and Excel. A passion for developing and improving the service we provide to internal and external stakeholders is essential to the role.

    This Directorate plays a vital role in the retention and success of students at Kingston University. By taking a holistic, cohesive approach to the effective provision of services to our 17,000 students, we aim to enhance their experience through support that is effective and also responsive to their changing needs.

    The Student Services team provides the University's first and second line services for students incorporating the Information Centre, Library and Learning Services, Specialist Course Support and Administration, Student Engagement and Student Life, Health and Wellbeing. Services are designed to be accessible and inclusive of all students, to ensure their enquiries are resolved quickly and support is available to enable them to fully engage with and succeed in their studies.

    This role sits in the Course and Student Administration (CSA) team which is part of the Directorate for Students supporting our students throughout their lifecycle at Kingston.

    The CSA team works across all of our faculties to provide a high-quality professional service.

    This is a full time, fixed term contract for 12 months with a starting salary of £32,271 per annum.
