Your new role

We have an exciting opportunity available for a passionate Corporate Accountant to join our high-performing Corporate Finance team. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team to deliver the key elements of the University's internal and external financial reporting. This involves the management of activities associated with student tuition income budget, forecasts, and annual statutory reporting activities. You will also undertake ad hoc projects that may arise in providing financial services to the University.

If you enjoy telling stories from financial data and you are a naturally curious finance professional, then we want you on the team!

Essential requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of financial accounting standards and best practice financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of financial concepts and the preparation of financial reporting documentation.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and issues and make practical recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience in a computerised financial system environment including advanced Excel and data interrogation skills.
  • Demonstrated well developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting pressures and work effectively and consistently to competing deadlines.

  • Relevant experience in an aligned commercial organisation or the higher education sector.
