  • Commencement Salary: $100,080 (pro rata) per annum plus 17% superannuation
  • About You

    You are a dynamic, confident individual with an understanding of the drivers to gender based violence. You are comfortable communicating with a variety of audiences, and sharing your knowledge in creative and engaging ways. You think strategically, and have a proven ability to exercise initiative in order to solve problems and make recommendations.

    About the Role

    You will actively contribute to providing a safe, inclusive environment that is free from sexual harm at the University. This will involve building and coordinating prevention structures, systems and training programs/campaigns to support the University to effectively prevent and respond to sexual harm involving students.

    About the Student Engagement Unit

    The Student Engagement Unit (SEU) is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of student facing services that will enhance the on- campus and off-campus student experience for all students. The SEU also takes strategic steps to inform the quality of the student experience of learning and teaching, support services, the learning environment, and student facilities.

    SEU services include Orientation, UniSA Sport, Career Services, Student Life, Student Wellbeing, Student Counselling, International Student Support, Learning Advice, Wirringka Student Services, and Access and Inclusion Services.

    Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience and understanding of survivor-centric, trauma informed approaches to sexual harm complaints and supports
  • Demonstrated awareness and understanding of prevailing issues that relate to sexual harm and gender-based violence, particularly in a tertiary education setting
  • Experience and understanding of the impact of intersectionality in relation to marginalised and minority groups in promoting best practice in the response relating to all parties
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills including the ability to communicate effectively to a broad range of individuals and groups
  • Well-developed organisational skills, with a strong ability to set priorities, plan and organise unpredictable workloads to achieve specific objectives to meet tight timelines
