The Coordinator of Student Activities & Involvement supervises and coordinates the university's student activities, traditional campus events (Welcome Week, Homecoming, Spring Bling Fling, etc.). This position assists with developing opportunities to engage students outside the classroom to promote active participation, administrative functions include long-range planning and goal- setting, works with budgets, maintains financial and historical records, and assumes other responsibilities as directed by the Director of Student Engagement.
This position also develops the student organization's culture and infrastructure and must maintain current knowledge of student organizations, student government, and social fraternities and sororities. This position oversees the development and assessment for the department and must have successful experience working with and supporting diverse populations. Student Engagement includes programs, movies, student organizations, leadership development, and major campus events not limited to Welcome Week, Homecoming, Family & Friends Weekend, and Spring Festival. This role is critical in the university's dedication to motivating students towards lives of significance and worth.

Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work or athletic environments. Evening and weekend hours are expected in support of student events/programs. Some lifting (10-20 lbs) is periodically necessary to assist event setup and teardown.
