Job Summary/Basic Function

About This Role:

Assists the Assistant Athletics Director – Operations with all sporting event activities and operations of the athletics department venues. Works with the LU athletics director, administration, staff, students and the community to enhance the athletics facilities.

As a member of our team, you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:

  • Manages the scheduling and supervision of daily operations of all athletic facilities which includes the Montagne Center, Provost Umphrey Stadium, Lamar Soccer and Softball Complex, Vincent-Beck Stadium, McDonald Gym, Ty Terrell Track, and Thompson Family Tennis Center.
  • Manages the maintenance and long-term planning of all athletic venues, including regular reporting of the state of all athletic facilities and equipment for capital planning and management purposes.
  • For assigned sports, will schedule and supervise all event staff for home athletic contests; assist with other events held at the athletic venues.
  • Plan and manage logistics for all home athletic contests for assigned sports, to include security, parking, hosting officials, facility supervision and all student workers for event management.
  • Manage budget in collaboration with direct supervisor.
  • Update visiting team guides and coordinate distribution to visiting teams.
  • Supervises up to 20 student workers for athletic operations.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
