| Job Description | Reporting to the Associate Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) in Student Involvement & Engagement, the Coordinator for Healthy Communities & Engagement acts as an advisor, coach, and advocate for the campus fraternity and sorority community. This specialized role focuses on creating out-of-classroom learning experiences that enhance student retention, physical and mental well-being, and a true sense of belonging across all governing councils. The coordinator leads initiatives that counter high-risk behaviors by embedding community care, accountability, and inclusive leadership development into the lifecycle of fraternity and sorority members. The fraternity and sorority community comprises approximately 2,500 students (7% of the undergraduate students enrolled at the San Marcos campus and 5% of the undergraduate students overall), with 44 fraternity and sorority chapters that hold membership under one of the four governing councils. |
