As required by clause 1.15.9 of the 2024 EA, after seven days of internal advertising, current casual or fixed-term employees of the University will be provided with prior opportunity to apply for and be considered for vacant continuing positions if they meet the following criteria:

  • About the Role

    The Coordinator Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and International Engagement at the Melbourne Dental School (MDS) manages administrative support for both CPD and international engagement activities, reporting to the Manager, International Engagement. This role involves collaborating with the CPD Coordinator, Academic Lead for CPD, and MDS Director International to coordinate CPD programs, track financial activities, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure successful course delivery and industry sponsorship, supporting the School's strategic direction and new University initiatives.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establish and maintain appropriate processes and systems to support the CPD program.
  • Oversee the annual planning process for the CPD program suite of courses.
  • Lead development and delivery of programs for international visiting delegations to MDS.
  • Provide efficient, effective, and accurate information to CPD participants, presenters and guest speakers to support CPD activities.
  • Who We Are Looking For The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organisational and communication skills, effectively collaborating with stakeholders to support CPD programs and international engagement initiatives. They will excel in managing course logistics, budgeting, marketing, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring efficient operations and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external partners.

    You will also have:

  • A completed degree with substantial relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and or education and training.
  • Highly developed computer literacy, including advanced use of MS Office, particularly word and excel, and experience with other applications such as zoom and web editing software to enable the production of high quality documents
  • Proven ability to work independently on a diverse range of activities, as well as part of a team.

    This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
