POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordinate and manage the administrative operations and academic advising support for the College of Business in accordance with the academic rules and regulations established by the University. 


Duties and Responsibilities KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
●      Assist the Associate Dean, or designee, in providing student services within the College of Business. Act on behalf of the Dean in the Dean’s absence. 

●      Manage and coordinate the completion of degree audits for students planning to graduate each semester. Collaborate with academic advisors, academic units, and departments to ensure students meet all degree requirements. 

●      Coordinate catalog changes for the College and ensure all updates are current and approved through the appropriate University processes. Utilize approved changes to develop advising materials, including curriculum sheets and other advising resources. 

●      Coordinate and manage scholastic and academic standing processes, including associated petitions. 

●      Provide administrative support to the College of Business Dean’s Office and perform other related duties as assigned. |

●      Serve as a resource for area coordinators, department chairs, academic advisors, faculty, and staff to promote consistent and accurate academic advising throughout the College. 

●      Support the Associate Dean with course scheduling, curriculum planning, and student recruitment and retention initiatives. 

●      Coordinate with Enrollment Services to evaluate incoming transfer students’ academic credits and conduct preliminary NCAA eligibility reviews. 

●      Assist Enrollment Services with annual updates to the Academic Progress Report (APR) based on curriculum and degree requirement changes. 

●      Facilitate college-wide advising by maintaining documentation and resources for the training and ongoing development of academic advisors. 

●      Identify students at risk of not completing their degree requirements and collaborate with advisors, academic units, and departments to provide appropriate support and intervention.

Required Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master’s degree with a minimum of two years of experience in Student Affairs or a related field, OR experience in higher education (may include time as graduate student), OR a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years full-time experience in Student Affairs or a related field.  

2. Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

3. Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and/or other analytical software.

4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and parents.

5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and populations.
