Your new role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator, Co-curricular Development to join our Student Success team on a part time (0.5 FTE), 12-month fixed term contract. In this key role, you will manage Curtin Extra, the University's framework for recognising student co-curricular participation, to support its visibility, ensure policy and procedure alignment, and provide exceptional opportunities and outcomes for students.

In this part-time role, you will focus on:

  • Managing the Curtin Extra Framework, associated programs and activities across all Curtin campuses and partnership institutions.
  • Working with the Student Success Leadership Group to establish and deliver Curtin Extra annual priorities.
  • Developing operational strategies to maximise synergies, reduce duplication, share resources, and leverage best practices to deliver a consistent student experience.
  • Identifying, analysing, and disseminating information to support strategic decision-making for the ongoing development of the Curtin Extra framework aligned to employability and industry skills in demand.
  • Working collaboratively with various stakeholders such as students, staff, and external partners to recognise co-curricular opportunities across all Curtin campuses and online.
  • We are looking for (the ideal candidate):

  • Ability to effectively manage complex projects and ensure high quality program and service outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to successfully build and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to use multiple systems and CRMs and report writing tools.
  • Ability to work flexibly, harmoniously and productively in a busy team environment as well as effectively with people in a range of settings and from diverse cultures.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, attention to detail, including ability to work efficiently, to prioritise tasks and to use initiative.
  • Understanding of the Higher Education sector particularly Employability Strategies in Higher Education (desirable).
  • As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
