Why Concordia? Love cooking. Lose the late nights. Love working in a kitchen, but ready for a schedule and workplace that fit better with your life? At Concordia College, you can keep doing the work you love while enjoying the stability, benefits, community, and sense of purpose that come with working on a college campus. Join a talented Dining Services team where food brings people together and every meal is an opportunity to help students feel welcomed, cared for, and at home. As a benefit-eligible employee, you'll have access to affordable health, dental, and vision insurance; retirement benefits; generous paid time off; 13 paid holidays; valuable tuition benefits for employees and eligible family members; and more. And while this is still a professional kitchen, our schedules offer something that's harder to find in the culinary industry: no routine late nights, with most Cook shifts ending by approximately 8:15 p.m. About the Role As a Cook with Concordia College Dining Services, you'll prepare high-quality food for students, employees, guests, and special events across campus. You'll work with a variety of ingredients, menus, cooking techniques, and commercial kitchen equipment while collaborating with experienced culinary professionals and student employees. From everyday meals to special events and campus traditions, your work will help create an outstanding dining experience and bring the Concordia community together. What You'll Do Prepare high-quality meals using established recipes, menus, and culinary standards. Work with a variety of ingredients, cooking techniques, and commercial kitchen equipment. Help ensure food is prepared safely, efficiently, and with attention to quality and presentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Collaborate with culinary professionals and work alongside student employees. Support catered events, special meals, and other campus dining experiences. Provide welcoming service and contribute to a positive experience for students, employees, and guests. Perform other related duties as assigned.
