  • About the Role Join our vibrant new team supporting new startup and venture programs within the University's innovation ecosystem, as well as the University and faculty marketing and communications team.

    As a leader in specialised content and community engagement, your focus will be on supporting research translation through entrepreneurship, innovation, and commercialization. Reporting directly to the Head of Engagement & Community, UMC, you will spearhead the creation of compelling editorial, digital and social content, as well as design and deliver impactful community engagement initiatives.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the production of high-quality and timely innovation ecosystem content for various internal and external channels, including case studies, news pieces, opinion pieces, founder profiles for websites, Pursuit, and social media platforms.
  • Conducting interviews and writing engaging case studies on commercialization, startups, and new ventures for diverse audiences and channels, including all aspects of video production management.
  • Coordinating and managing the creation of new content, editing existing content, and regular updates to commercialisation and entrepreneurship website pages and social media channels.
  • Who we are looking for We are seeking an agile content creation professional, passionate about supporting university startups, commercialization, entrepreneurship and the startup and innovation ecosystem in Australia and globally. You are a self- starter with excellent writing skills and strong attention to detail. You'll be able to utilise your exceptional communication and client service skills to build relationships, manage stakeholders and partnership collaborations.

    You will also have:

  • Proven expertise in creating quality innovation, startup and venture content and communications project management experience within a large organisation.
  • Relevant experience in content, engagement, and communications, along with a tertiary qualification in communications, finance, business, or related disciplines
  • Adaptable and open to embracing challenges in a fast-paced environment, with a growth mindset and some experience in navigating ambiguity to achieve business goals.
  • Skilled in making complex decisions that demand high levels of expertise and judgment.
