Community Engagement and Impact Support Associate To lead in generating an evidence base about the organisations which

support migrant workers in West and South Yorkshire with a particular focus on warehousing jobs. This will be done by engaging a network of relevant actors and holding discussions about improving the quality of work in the sector. This will ultimately assist efforts to intervene in policy discussions related to migrant experiences in warehousing work through the co-creation of a policy toolkit and set of recommendations.

The successful candidate will be working in collaboration with the team at the University of Leeds who are working on a wider UKRI-funded project Humans in Digital Logistics which explores the use of technology in warehousing and how this shapes the quality of work. This position is funded independently by the Leeds University Business School Impact Engagement and Support Fund which is being used to support the impact strategy of Humans in Digital Logistics.

The successful candidate will be based at Migrant Action, a migrant support charity based in Leeds. While the role will be employed by the University of Leeds, the individual will receive desk space and managerial support from the charity's CEO who is an experienced practitioner. The role will also receive support from experienced researchers at the University of Leeds. Both supporting parties will provide access to existing networks, research and relevant information that will help support the delivery of the main duties and responsibilities.
