  • Role Description

You will play a vital role in the management and delivery of two important widening access and social mobility initiatives: The Place and our IntoUniversity partnerships. This post holder will also play a vital part in the University's widening access strategy and will be integral to ensuring the University meets the aims, objectives and targets as set out in our University strategy and Access and Participation Plan.

You will sit within The Place team who are responsible for an innovative community learning centre.

The Place is a dedicated safe space that children and adults can make their own, with a committed team who will deliver in-school, after-school and school holiday programmes that support academic attainment, develop employability skills, provide cultural capital and open opportunities. Importantly, this is a community initiative and at the heart of our design, development and delivery are children, young people and adults living in Westfield. The main purpose of this centre is to open opportunities to education, skills and employment.

IntoUniversity provides learning centres nationally and offers innovative programmes that support young people from disadvantaged neighbourhoods to attain their chosen aspirations. Their mission is to provide local support that can break cycles of disadvantage and open up new opportunities for young people. They have 44 centres across the country and we are proud partners of IntoUniversity centres in Hull, Bridlington and Grimsby, alongside the University of Hull.

We are a creative team, committed to supporting the communities we work with and inspired by the ethos behind our projects.

This role is available on a fixed term basis until 31 July 2027.
