Do you love to write? Are you looking for a part time opportunity with loads of variety and the opportunity to make a difference? We have an exciting vacancy to join our friendly Services & Engagement Directorate within the Cambridge University Libraries, as Communications and Grants Writer. This role will focus on creating compelling and persuasive material to effectively communicate our work to a variety of audiences and raise support.

Key Responsibilities include: - Development of strategic funding bids for University Library projects. - Collaborate with colleagues to ensure all fundraising applications reflect and support agreed goals and objectives, as well as meeting the evolving needs of target audiences. - Be the central point of contact for content development for proposals. Research and review complex information and data and re-cast into informative and tailored 'funder-friendly' communications. - Collaborate with colleagues in CUDAR (particularly the Senior Associate Director responsible for Cambridge University Libraries) and in the University Library Research Institute to ensure a coordinated strategy for fundraising and communications. - Shape a match between Cambridge University Library and potential funder interests through the review of information on current and potential donors. - Produce standalone annual reports for funders. - Ensure all content for applications accurately reflects the costs for any project and is compliant with Cambridge University Libraries' policies and procedures.

The hours of work for the position are approximately 21.9 hours per week (0.6FTE). Working days and pattern are to be agreed to suit both the candidate and the organisation. We are open to flexible and hybrid working patterns and encourage conversations about this, but there is an expectation that the post holder will be based primarily on-site at the University Library. Please feel free to discuss flexibility prior to applying or at interview if your application is successful.
