About the role

Join Reuben College in an exciting new position as Communications and Events Officer.

This role will primarily focus on growing the College's reputation and establishing relationships in and around Oxford through strategic communications activities. You'll manage our website content, create engaging digital and print materials, and help maintain our brand presence across all channels. Additionally, you'll provide crucial support for high-level internal and external events (which will include managing evening and weekend events) ensuring all run smoothly and professionally.

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you're proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Experience in higher education, donor relations, or alumni engagement would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Extensive communications and marketing experience across print and digital platforms

• Proven ability to create compelling content for different audiences and channels

• Proficiency with Microsoft suite and content management systems

• Strong event coordination experience

• Excellence in written and interpersonal communication

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences

• Outstanding organizational and administrative capabilities

Key Responsibilities

• Contributing to and executing the College's communications strategy

• Managing website content and ensuring accessibility compliance

• Creating and maintaining digital and print marketing materials

• Writing and editing communications for various channels and audiences

• Support in the management of high-profile College events

• Providing alumni relations support

• Contributing to donor communications and annual reports

• Deputising for the Communications & Events Manager when required

This is a full-time, permanent position based at Reuben College, with the flexibility to work one day per week from home.
