Commercial and Compliance Manager

Salary Grade 8 (£45,585– £54,395 p.a. depending on experience)

The role is available to current employees within IT Services at the University of Leeds only.

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

As the leader of the IT Contract and Commercial team, you will be accountable for overseeing staff and processes. Your team will own IT Contract and Supplier Management, and IT Asset Management including licensing and compliance on behalf of the University, including the optimization of costs. Your role is pivotal in ensuring IT delivers on the University's strategic aims and objectives and you will actively support the IT Leadership team with the implementation of continual improvements.

Utilising your expertise as an IT Professional, and your in-depth understanding of the IT contract lifecycle and IT Asset Management lifecycle to support and enable your team in driving value and process improvement for the University. You will also be proficient in managing the conflicting demands of operational excellence and risk management.

Working closely with the IT Leadership Team, you will work collaboratively across all functions of IT to ensure appropriate policies are in place for effective IT Asset Management and Contract and Supplier Management. You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and ongoing enhancement of a Supplier Governance framework to support colleagues in managing suppliers more effectively including ensuring the proactive timely renewal of contracts and licence agreements, so that value is considered and optimised.
