Academic Services is looking to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated Collections and Metadata Officer.

Working within the Library Collections Services Team, and with direction from the Collections Services Manager, you will be responsible for the acquisition and processing of information resources for the library collections; contributing to the provision of metadata records for information resources; supporting the review and processing of reading lists; fulfilling Document Supply requests and liaising with staff and external suppliers to fulfil Accessibility requests for students.

We are looking for someone who will take ownership of enquiries, who demonstrates initiative and flexibility and will liaise effectively with staff, students, and colleagues. This role would suit an individual with good attention to detail who enjoys interacting and collaborating with a wide range of people both remotely and in person.

Current hours of work are 29 hours per week Monday to Thursday, but we will consider requests for flexible working.

Our University library offers access to a specialist arts collection consisting of over 300,000 print and ebooks, 500 metres of archives, 5,000 DVDs, 16,000 journals, 147 databases; and offers a range of information services to promote academic success - digitisation, document supply, alternative formats, information literacy skills, referencing, learning technologies, and learning, teaching, and research repositories.

The actual salary for this position is £20,593-£23,007 per annum.
