The purpose of this role is principally to deliver high-quality, patient- focused National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) portfolio clinical research studies in neuroscience, particularly focused on multiple sclerosis.
The post-holder will: Support the running and conduct of clinical trials in neuroscience, and particularly in multiple sclerosis. Help to identify potential participants from clinics for upcoming clinical trials. Conduct patient visits (including phlebotomy and trial assessments), under the supervision of the clinical trial team. Support administrative aspects of conducting trials.
On-the-job training can be offered for applicants.
There are additional opportunities for contribution to patient and public involvement/engagement (PPIE) and/or equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) work, in an outstanding and vibrant patient-orientated research environment.
Although prior experience of clinical research is desirable, we are open to recruiting people with no such experience, provided they show enthusiasm and commitment to undergo appropriate training.
The post is being advertised as full time, but part time applications will also be considered to a minimum of 0.5 FTE.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
