  • Administer, coordinate, and manage the ANZUP-led GenI-AIRSPACE trial within the Prostate Cancer Research Group at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

  • About the Role The Clinical Trial Coordinator at the Department of Surgery, Royal Melbourne Hospital, will support the administration and management of the ANZUP-led GenI-AIRSPACE trial within the Prostate Cancer Research Group. This role involves liaising with trial team members, ensuring trial set-up, monitoring, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance, while contributing to the University of Melbourne's genomics partnership with Illumina. The successful candidate will receive training and is expected to independently manage their projects, demonstrating strong self-motivation and organizational skills.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with investigators and research team to ensure proper trial setup and initiation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for study staff regarding trial logistics and inquiries.
  • Devising and adapting clinical trial practices, systems and procedures to suit the needs of ANZUP's clinical trials program for reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Administration and management of clinical trial budget;
  • Who We Are Looking For

    You will possess high attention to detail and accuracy, strong problem-solving and analytical skills within a health research setting, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent verbal communication and time management skills are essential to liaise with diverse stakeholders and meet deadlines.

    You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in science or healthcare discipline;
  • Demonstrated experience in health research, including clinical trials, preferably in oncology
  • Site management and clinical monitoring experience in accordance with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines;
  • Prior experience working with multidisciplinary medical, health and research teams preferred

    This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
