University of Oxford is seeking an experienced Clinical Researcher to join our team focused on advancing the understanding and treatment of inherited cardiac conditions. CureHeart (https: // cureheart.org/) is an Oxford-led international programme aiming to develop cures for inherited cardiomyopathies using advanced genetic therapies. The role involves leading the recruitment and assessment of patients into a number of research studies that underpin the CureHeart programme. These will include recall-by-genotype studies, cohort studies for acquiring longitudinal natural history data, analysis of genetic data, and extraction of patient-specific data from paper and electronic health records. The successful candidate will also be responsible for interpreting genetic data, constructing research databases, presenting findings at meetings, and producing written outputs for journal submission.
The ideal candidate will hold a primary medical degree and a relevant PhD/DPhil, with extensive consultant-level experience in an Inherited Cardiac Conditions service. A proven track record of original research on the genetic basis of cardiac disease, the ability to interpret genetic data in Inherited Cardiac Conditions, and excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
