Clinical Research Fellow

Faculty of Health Sciences

Hull York Medical School / Centre for Clinical Sciences

This one-year post will be in the Department of Academic Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Centre for Clinical Sciences , Hull York Medical School, University of Hull. It will provide an opportunity for candidates who wish to pursue a career in Diabetes and Endocrinology to undertake a research project leading to a higher degree. Clinical and laboratory-based research can be accommodated.

This post offer research opportunities within metabolic studies in cardiovascular risk in obesity, diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome and other insulin resistant states together with clinical trials of novel dietary and pharmacology interventions. You will be encouraged to engage in and foster multidisciplinary research into the lifestyle and environmental effects on these cardiometabolic conditions.

Degree qualified, you will hold an MBBS qualification and be GMC registered and ideally be a specialist trainee in Endocrinology. Your passion for patient health will mean you inspire all around you, and your compassion, enthusiasm and creativity are balanced with strong communication skills.

This post is for one year starting from October 2024.
