The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, always “in search of excellence”, is working with more than 200 ophthalmologists and visual scientists in Hong Kong and Mainland China. We are committed to advancing clinical services, research, training, and education to the highest standard in all major areas of Ophthalmology and the visual sciences. Applicants should (i) have a medical qualification (approved for full or limited registration with The Medical Council of Hong Kong); (ii) preferably a higher qualification in ophthalmology; (iii) at least 6 years' post-registration experience; and (iv) possess proven track records in clinical, research and teaching experiences and expertise in ophthalmology, preferably in the subspecialty areas of Retinal and Cataract surgery.
The appointee(s) will (a) provide clinical services; (b) conduct research and clinical trials; (c) perform teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and (d) other tasks as assigned by the Department.
Appointment(s) will initially be made on contract basis for one to two years commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
