The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, always “in search of excellence”, is working with more than 200 ophthalmologists and visual scientists in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Applicants should have (i) a medical qualification (approved for registration with The Medical Council of Hong Kong); (ii) clinical competence; (iii) enthusiasm for teaching advancement; and (iv) ability to provide effective clinical teaching and mentorship to undergraduate medical students. Those with outstanding academic potential, as well as a proven track record in research and publications, are welcome to apply.
The appointee(s) will (a) participate in clinical services, under supervision and with training, and undertake ophthalmic on-call duties; (b) participate in clinical research projects and community projects at the CUHK Eye Centre; (c) participate in training and educational programmes, including teaching medical students; and (d) undertake other related duties. Duties may be performed on weekday evenings or weekends.
Appointment(s) will be made on fixed-term contract basis for one year.
