Position Summary	The 9-month, non-tenure track Clinical Instructor I position requires teaching undergraduate courses in the Nutrition & Family Sciences (NFS) Department, mentorship of students, and service to the department, college, university, and professional organizations. This is a 9-month academic year appointment. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Job Duties and Responsibilities	Teach in Nutrition & Family Sciences at the undergraduate level. Preference is given to expertise in one or more of the following: meal management, food science, experimental foods, sports nutrition, metabolic nutrition, food economics, nutrition services administration, or clinical nutrition. Ability to design and teach online courses. Ability to participate in scholarly activities in areas of specialization. Advise and mentor undergraduate students. Participate in professional service activities for the department, college, university, and professional organizations. Contribute to curriculum development, committee work, and community outreach initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities	Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with students, staff, and faculty.

Required Education and/or Experience	Earned master’s degree in dietetics, human nutrition, nutrition science, or a related area Ability to teach undergraduate level courses in Nutrition & Family Sciences with evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to student learning and development Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential
Preferred Education and/or Experience	Two or more years of experience in higher education Experience with college/university-level teaching; program assessment and/or management Experience in interprofessional settings and desire to collaborate with other departments within the college. Effective communication and collaborative skills that facilitate an all-around positive environment
License(s)/Certifications (Required or Preferred)	Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
