Summary of Post
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to be appointed to play a pivotal as clinical immersion programme manager for the DigiBio Innovators Programme.
The DigiBio Innovators Programme is a Digital Health innovation programme focused on identifying commercially viable needs led opportunities across the medical care pathway from pre-acute, acute, post-acute through to homecare, and the personal health and wellbeing sectors. It will provide innovators with innovation training, mentorship and direct access to healthcare environments to identify commercially viable opportunities. Digibio is part of the Enterprise Ireland's Innovators Initiative programme, a national programme that will supports Irelands economic goals. We envisage an RCSI led immersive programme focusing on primary care, physiotherapy in secondary care, and pharmacy, which will explore a range of needs in community settings for which digital solutions have a strong fit RCSI will coordinate clinical immersion in collaboration with partners, DKIT, DCU, Tyndall and TCD.
Reporting to the Head of Innovation and working with the Programme Director and Clinical Champions, the Clinical Immersion Programme Manager will have key responsibility for the planning, coordination, and management of 8 week placements with pre agreed clinical sites.
Specifically, the duties of the post are:
§ Planning and management of all immersive environment engagements
§ Day to day support and management of immersive activities including timetabling and scheduling
§ Highlighting the needs of clinicians and healthcare providers in support immersive activities and supporting resolution of these.
§ Scheduling immersive access, managing agreements with immersive sites e.g., MOUs, NDAs etc.
§ Arranging administration requirements – security access etc. including Data Protection and other governance and legal requirements
§ Scheduling training with clinical champions, supporting clinical immersive champions as they navigate access to sites.
§ Support all logistics and scheduling in coordination with stakeholders including troubleshooting and managing unforeseen requirements
§ Train student fellows on how to manage their presence in immersive setting to minimise disruption / optimise workflow
§ With the support of the program team identification of new immersion sites nationally and internationally
