We are looking for a skilled and motivated Clinic Executive Support Administrator to join the AnDY Research Clinic at the University of Reading - a unique partnership between the University and Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust that combines clinical care with research to improve mental health support for children and young people.
This is an opportunity to play a central role in a friendly, multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving the lives of children, young people and families experiencing anxiety, depression and related difficulties. The Clinic supports hundreds of families each year whilst contributing to research that helps shape future mental health services locally and nationally.
You will:
- Have excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Hold at least GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Have familiarity with on-line processes and web-based systems and with standard office systems and procedures.
- Have experience of working in a busy office environment within an administrative role.
- Be positive, proactive, and flexible.
As our Clinic Executive Support Administrator, you will be at the heart of the Clinic's day-to-day operations.
You'll provide high-quality administrative and executive support across a wide range of activities, including:
- Coordinating the Clinic's administrative functions and helping ensure smooth service delivery.
- Supporting meetings, events, visits, and engagement activities.
- Managing diaries, records, databases, and clinic systems.
- Producing reports and maintaining accurate information.
- Supporting recruitment, induction, and training processes.
- Assisting with financial administration and purchasing activities.
- Acting as a welcoming point of contact for families, students, researchers, clinicians, and external partners.
The role offers a good mix of routine coordination and project-based work, with opportunities to improve processes, contribute ideas, and work closely with colleagues across the University and NHS.
Based within the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences at the University of Reading, you will join a service with a strong track record of exceptional clinical outcomes, innovation, close links between research and practice, and a clear mission to improve outcomes for children and families.
