Clerk II (holding the functional title of Executive Assistant) in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 526146) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 1-2 years' work experience in administration. Relevant work experience in tertiary institutions would be an advantage. They should have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua), IT proficiency, good organizational, interpersonal communication skills, and be self-motived. They should also have a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to perform multi-tasks, work independently and under pressure.
The appointee will handle Undergraduate-related matters, including admission, course selection, timetabling, examination, student profile, course syllabus, course evaluation, and Staff-Student Consultative Committee Meeting. He/She will also assist the Associate Head of Teaching in curriculum matters, the HKU Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions, respond to related enquiries, update the Department website, and perform any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
