Clerk II (holding the functional title of Executive Assistant) in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 531185) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics; OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, preferably with a recognized degree plus at least 2 years' work experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good communication, organizational and problem-solving skills; IT proficiency; the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently to meet tight deadlines; and competence in performing administrative duties and collaborating with different stakeholders. They should also be attentive to details, a good team player with self-motivation and a strong sense of responsibility. Degree holders will be offered the functional title of Executive Assistant.
The appointees will provide administrative support to the financial matters of the School, including handling procurement processes such as Request for Quotation (RFQ), processing of payments, purchase orders, invoices and reimbursement claims etc. They may assist in budgetary control matters, and undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
