Clerk I (holding the functional title of Senior Procurement Executive) in the Procurement Unit of the Estates Office (Ref.: 531199)

We are looking for a Clerk I (holding the functional title of Senior Procurement Executive) to join the Procurement Unit of the Estates Office.

The Role

The appointee will handle the procurement of office furniture, building repair and maintenance materials, and electrical materials and equipment; coordinate with various parties including internal departments, technical managers and maintenance supervisors in relation to the procurement execution; prepare furniture budget for projects; deal with suppliers and vendors on price comparison; issue and follow up purchasing orders and ensure on-time delivery; prepare documents such as tenders, invoices, reports, letters and memos; conduct data input; and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Qualities

Applicants should possess 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics; OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 5 years' relevant clerical/supervisory work experience; OR a recognized degree/diploma with not less than 10 years' relevant experience.

Applicants should be service-oriented, attentive to details and able to work independently. Essential qualities include a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; good computer knowledge; and good interpersonal, organizational and time management skills. Work experience in tertiary institutions and facilities management industry would be an advantage.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
