Clerical Assistant in the Department of Geography within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref. No. 526208)

We are looking for a Clerical Assistant to join the Department of Geography to provide administrative and clerical support to the Department.

The Role

The appointee will assist with day-to-day administrative functions of the Department, including but not limited to reception counter service, general clerical duties, bookings management, publicity and promotion, documentation, and undertake other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Completed Form 5 or equivalent;
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications;
  • Strong sense of responsibility;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team;
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to perform multi-task under pressure;
  • Prior experience of working in tertiary education institutions would be an advantage.

    What We Offer

    The appointment will be made on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with annual leave and medical benefits.
