About the Role:

The People and Culture team form a vital and dynamic part of Curtin University . The team are known for their proactive and innovative approach, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, and driving meaningful change to make tomorrow better.

The Change and Engagement Manager is a newly established role sitting within the People and Culture team at Curtin, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer. The new incumbent will take responsibility for the design, development and delivery of end-to-end change management strategies to support the successful implementation of various people related initiatives. This position will provide strategic support to a diverse range of stakeholders, including academic and professional staff at all levels, as well as the senior executive team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining, developing and delivering strategic change management services to support the successful implementation of initiatives impacting staff across the University.
  • Leading and conducting comprehensive business change analysis and deliver strategic recommendations, interventions, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Leveraging expert knowledge to develop tailored change management strategies and plans for impacted audiences at all levels, including senior executive leadership.
  • Providing specialised support to leaders, empowering them to be the 'face of the change' through practical and strategic change management techniques, services, and activities.
  • Partnering with impacted leaders and audiences to facilitate regular, meaningful engagements that drive awareness, understanding, and early adoption at all levels
  • Creating, overseeing, and delivering a variety of specialised communications and materials for both internal and external impacted audiences.
  • Providing specialist knowledge of contemporary strategies and solutions to guide the successful delivery of fit for purpose training activities (informal and formal learning) for impacted audiences.
  • Defining and leading business readiness and adoption activities to integrate new ways of working before, during, and after the transition. Reporting on relevant business readiness and adoption metrics to support leadership teams in making informed decisions and implementing necessary change corrections.
  • Who we are looking for:

  • Postgraduate qualifications and relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.
  • Prosci Certified Change Practitioner or relevant experience in applying Prosci methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and driving successful change management programs and services across entire project lifecycles.
  • Proven extensive experience in managing complex projects and fostering agile ways of working to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and overseeing project and change management resources to deliver activities such as business change analysis and enacting interventions.
  • Significant proven experience in practically applying change management strategies and plans into change services and activities for impacted audiences.
  • Significant demonstrated ability to build fast trusted relationships with stakeholders and guide and support leaders to be the ‘face of the change'.
  • Significant proven ability to lead, oversee and facilitate engagements across all levels including senior executive leaders and develop high quality communications and materials for various impacted audiences
  • Extensive ability to interpret and distil complex data, document and propose and deliver project and business focused solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal, influencing and relationship management skills.

  • As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
