About The Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Centre Administrator to join the Curtin University Node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW). The main responsibility of the node administrator would be to coordinate and undertake general administrative activities that support the day-to-day operational effectiveness of the Node. The role requires the ability to be the main point of contact and handle all general support and administrative activities of the functional area. The responsibilities may also include providing comprehensive personal assistance to senior staff.

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for internal events by coordinating and managing tasks such as sourcing and booking venues, catering, suppliers, and promotional activities.
  • Actively participate in CEVAW's Node Administrator team and CEVAW Network, including liaising with CEVAW's Chief Operating Officer.
  • Work closely with the University's Travel Team to arrange and coordinate travel arrangements for staff and visitors, in accordance with the Travel Procedure. Ensure all travel details are accurate and reviewed appropriately.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders and University functional areas such as Human Resources, Finance, Properties, and Corporate Relations, to ensure specific work is completed accordingly.
  • Assist the line manager in managing the area's budget.
  • Scan documents and information sources to bring any critical information or development to the attention of the manager.
  • Maintain databases and online systems, undertake procurement and financial transactions using the University's finance systems (eg payment and invoice requests), and the CEVAW database system. Participate on user testing/implementation working parties for new CEVAW systems as required.
  • Job Requirements: Applicants must have a relevant degree, diploma with work experience, or equivalent. The ideal candidate must be highly organised with experience in coordinating administrative requirements of a functional area, exceptional computer skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication, problem- solving, and interpersonal skills are required. Previous university experience is desirable. A National Police Clearance will be required for this position.
