CETI Academic Support Intern

Ref. 50068461

Salary £27,951 - £29,803 per annum (Incl. LWA)

Department/School Centre for Education and Teaching Innovation (CETI)

Location Central London and Harrow

This is a fixed term, full time position within the Centre for Education and Teaching Innovation (CETI). The position could be considered on a job share basis.

CETI has a university-wide role in championing learning and teaching and promoting excellence in the context of the needs of our particular students. The Centre has responsibility for a range of functions, including the coordination and delivery of courses in English for Academic purposes; coordination and core delivery of Foundation courses; promoting partnership and co-creation with students; supporting scholarship in learning and teaching; building learning communities to foster pedagogic and educational research; supporting course teams in curriculum development; and developing the professionalism, excellence and innovation of our staff in learning and teaching.

The core responsibility for this role will be to support colleagues in CETI to develop new teaching and learning resources for students, and to create promotional devices that encourage both colleagues and peers to engage with CETI products and services. In particular, the posts will support our work on authentic learning, where students from different courses and levels work together on inter-disciplinary projects.

The internships are developmental in nature so full training will be given to the postholder(s), and the positions will act as an effective introduction to working life in a university setting. CETI offers a wide range of professional development services, initiatives, and interventions and the postholder(s) will be encouraged to avail themselves of these opportunities.

CETI is a values-driven department with a commitment to trust, flexible working, and scholarship. This is an exciting time for CETI and for the University as we seek to embed personalised, authentic, and transformational learning across the institution's portfolio.
