About the roleWe are seeking a dynamic and hardworking Coordinator to join The Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Sustainable Chemical Technologies: A Systems Approach (CSCT).
As the Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the coordination, recruitment, event organization, and ongoing development of the CSCT. Working closely with the Director's team and Manager, you will provide administrative and financial support for the Centre's activities.
Key Responsibilities:
This is a very dynamic role where the ability to work with people from different backgrounds as well as build strong interpersonal relationships is key, as you will interact with a variety of internal and external collaborators daily.
This is a full-time position, with an expected end date in September 2032.
About you:We are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent customer relations skills, as well as an interest in sustainability.
An excellent track record in financial and general administration of a centre involving >30 people is crucial to the role.
Proven experience managing large, diverse budgets (>£1M) is highly desirable.
You will possess a positive attitude and a conscientious approach to work, a well-developed sense of responsibility, as well as a high degree of flexibility.
Capacity for autonomous and pro-active working as well as the ability to contribute to a team is critical.
About us:The Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Sustainable Chemical Technologies: A Systems Approach (CSCT) is an EPSRC-funded training centre at the University of Bath that will train around 70 PhD students in five cohorts, hosted within the Institute of Sustainability and Climate Change (ISCC). The CDT will operate in close partnership with our Swindon-based Innovation Centre for Applied Sustainable Technologies (iCAST), a £17M partnership for innovation and translation of research that has established a cluster of over 100 sustainable technology companies and will provide a dynamic innovation- focused context for PhD training in the region.
