  • Position Summary:

    The College of Business and Security Management at the University of Alaska Fairbanks invites applications for adjunct instructors for the 2023-2024 academic year. This is a pooled position. Adjunct faculty teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses, dependent upon the needs of the organization.

    Duties:

    CBSM ADJUNCT FACULTY POOL POSITION

    The College of Business and Security Management (CBSM) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks invites applications for adjunct instructors for the 2023-2024 academic year. Adjunct faculty teach undergraduate and graduate- level courses in Applied Management, Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare Management, Sports and Recreation Management programs. All applicants are expected to commit to teaching excellence. Qualified candidates are expected to develop a unique and engaging curriculum. Teaching may be conducted face-to-face, online, or a hybrid of the two.

    Work might be in-person or remote, depending on the needs of the program respective to the course being taught.

    This is a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis. Salary rates are $1,666 per credit hour; most semester-based courses are 3 credit hours for a total salary of $5,000 to teach a three-credit course.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Demonstrated expertise in the area of business administration, economics, healthcare management, management, sports and recreation management, or a related field.

    Preferred Experience & Education:

    Teaching experience and professional experience in a related field. Professional certifications are preferred, but not required.

    Required Experience & Education:

    Masters degree in a related field.

    Salary Information:

    This is a part-time position. Salary rates are $1,666 per credit hour; most semester-based courses are 3 credit hours for a total salary of $5,000.

    This is an at-will, union-represented adjunct position, and may be canceled based upon the needs of the university.
